Becoming a Life-Cycle Celebrant has been the most recent step on a lifelong journey of service and spiritual discovery.

More than 20 years ago, while working as Nationally Board Certified Master Teacher, I became a student of Dr. Geo Trevarthen, a hereditary Celtic Shaman.  For 10 years, under Geo's guidance, I experienced a deepening connection to all creation and made a commitment to serve my community.  In 2004, I encountered Dr. Hank Wesselman, an eminent anthropologist and author of The Spiritwalker Series, The Bowl of Light, and many other works, and his wife and partner Jill Kuykendall, a master spiritual healer.  Both Hank and Jill are the spiritual heirs of Hale Makua, the great Hawaiian mystic.  In 2008 I became a graduate of the Continuum Program, and with the guidance of Hank and Jill, I am continuing to explore the interconnectedness of all things, and the essential balance of life in simplicity, justice, harmony, tolerance, and the joy of contributing to and restoring that balance.

As a result of my studies I decided to become a Life-Cycle Celebrant.  In 2014, I completed a year-long course of study at the Celebrant Foundation and Institute, and became certified in Weddings and Transitions Across the Life-Cycle.  The following year I took additional studies in ceremonies for LGBTQ community, and in spring of 2016 achieved certification in Ceremonies of Healing.

Because of my many years working in theatre, education, and publishing, as well as my work in shamanic practice, I bring a lifetime of meaningful experience to my Celebrant service.

I will be honored to share with you and your loved ones all the skills and gifts I have gained in my journey.
